Mail Keeps Bringing New Catalogs

I’m moving right along with some of my work in progress and then, the mail arrives. This week, I received the new Fall catalog from Patternworks and the new one from Lion Brand. Both have items and projects that I’d really love to make.

LionBrand has Thigh High Socks with sock-ease (a yarn I haven’t seen yet). Also, A wool-Ease Zen Coat that is definitely a style I like to wear. Then there’s the Wool Ease Knit Centerpiece Afghan. I’ve been looking at that one for a long time now but can’t seem to get to it. That’s going to stay on the list for awhile longer. I already have 3 afghans to finish this winter.

Then there’s the Patternworks catalog. Once again the Row Keeper Bracelet for Knitting that I make is available on page 71. This is the 12 year, they have been in the catalog. Thanks to all of my fellow knitters who use them.

I seriously study this catalog when it gets here. So far, I’ve picked out a Kimono Vest Pattern that uses Encore Worsted (pg 22), a Koigu Shawl (pg 29), and the one that I really don’t think I can resist is the Wings of a Butterfly Shawl using South West Trading Company “Xie”, a 100% bamboo yarn in lace weight.

The pattern that I used for the shrug I made in the summer is in the catalog. It’s Cotton Classic Terra Spring/Summer.

Now you know I don’t need any new projects right now, but honestly how is one to resist with all this great stuff around! There’s something wonderful about sitting with a cup of tea and studying all the possibilities that I can create with these yarns and knitting needles.
