New Project & UFO to be Completed

Here’s a photo of my newest Dress Dishcloth. This will be number 5 and it’s called a “Happy Day”. I just have to put the finishing touches on the pattern and I’ll have it ready to add to my site and to Ravelry. There’s a similar dress to this one and hopefully, I’ll put both dress patterns in one file. These will be Dress Dishcloths #5 and #6. I realized today that I don’t have any of my original dress dishcloth “Going Dancing” in my projects on Ravelry so I’ll be adding one shortly. I usually make mine with a solid and variegated yarn so I’ll add that variation to Ravelry. I’m so pleased that so many people like the dress dishcloths. I’m considering opening an Etsy shop for my Kitchen Knits.

And with the nice weather, I’m trying to finish one more project before it gets too warm. Here’s my rainbow blanket. Started last year after the yarn was stashed for at least a year maybe two. This blanket is so colorful. It’s made with cotton and plush yarns. I have two more repeats of the colors so it’s not really a lot of work. I just need to get to it.
Meantime, my Christmas Cactus has several blooms. I’m so excited. I don’t think I’ve ever had one that bloomed in the spring. I placed this one under the skylight in my hallway and it has two buds on on stem and one bud on each of two other stems. I’ll be sure to take pictures when the blooms open. And finally for today, here’s the new spring fabrics from Maddy Moo Creations. I am so pleased to be part of this company. The custom made tote bags are great. I’ve been using one for a handbag all winter and it’s terrific. I’m also using one as a knitting bag and it holds my knitting projects nicely.
