A Quick Shawl with a Great yarn

It’s so good to have “Swirl” my diagonal knit baby blanket finished that I deserved a treat. I always find that finishing a project leave me a little perplexed as to what to work on next. So I bought a beautiful yarn at my LYS, Creative Knitworks . They had a trunk show of shawls and one was a very simple triangle made with a mohair. I’m using Superior by Filatura DiCrosa (70% cashmere-30% silk) in a light green on Size 9 needles. Once again it’s the classic cast on 3 stitches and increase to desired width and then decrease. This one is done side to side so you only increase or decrease every other row. It’s creating a very light, airy shawl. I’m truly enjoying the knitting process with this yarn. I did need to purchase the Addi Lace needles, though. I needed the sharper point. These needles are a joy to knit with this fine yarn. I should be able to finish this in about two weeks maybe less.

I also started another simple dishcloth but have switched to a seed stitch border with a stockinette center for a little variety. Another diagonal cloth right now would seem like a chore after the blanket and because I’m knitting the shawl.

I’ll post photos as soon as it’s done. Hope you all found the baby blanket pattern on my website.
