Yarn in my Travels

Visiting the Orange Blossom Yarn Crawl Shops

The Orange Blossom Yarn Crawl was held the first week of March in Florida and I was fortunate to be in Florida at the time.   I toured Historic Cocoa Village and visited Knit and Stitch.

The area and the shop were lovely.  I discovered this yarn by The Fibre Studio dyed especially for the shop.  This is 560 yards of fingering weight Superwash Merino named Cocoa Beach.

I’m looking forward to knitting a shawl with this colorful yarn.  It will be a terrific memory of the day and my trip to Cocoa.

I also discovered Wacky Woollies and purchased this change purse.  I’ll be purchasing more of these colorful sheep items.

My final purchase at Knit and Stitch was this wonderful Madelinetosh  sock yarn in Seasalt.

I’m knitting Vanilla is the New Black socks with this yarn.  I’m fascinated by the heel of this sock pattern and this colorway will show it beautifully.

Once my yarn shop visit was done.  I wandered around the area, found a nice place for lunch, did a little shopping in several of the boutiques, and relaxed on this colorful bench enjoying the sun and the warmth of being in Florida in March.
