Knitting a New Cowl

After knitting the swatch of the Moss Stitch Rib pattern, I immediately decided that it was the ideal stitch pattern for a cowl.  As I wrote in my post of December 3, 2016, I had Berocco Peruvia Quick Wool in my stash. I cast on the stitches for this cowl shortly after I knit that swatch.  The cowl knit up quickly with the Bulky weight yarn and here it is completed.

Since the stitch pattern is reversible, the cowl looks good no matter which side is showing.   I knit this cowl with a 36 inch circumference and a depth of 9 inches.  This bulky weight yarn drapes nicely and the cowl is long enough to double up when I’m out in the cold.

I’ll be publishing the knitting pattern for this cowl in 2017.  If you’d like a copy of the pattern before I release it, simply sign up to follow the Stitches by Debbie posts and I’ll email you a Free copy of the knitting pattern before I release it.

With this warm cowl, I’m ready for the cold winter days of January, are you?
